The Wellington and Guelph Housing Authority was established in 1976 and operated under a management agreement with the Ontario Housing Corporation.
Effective January 1, 2001 under Stage one of the social housing transfer, The Wellington and Guelph Housing Authority became the Wellington and Guelph Housing Corporation. The Corporation and all of the Corporation's properties are owned by the County of Wellington. The County manages the former OHC properties through Wellington and Guelph Housing Services, which is located at 138 Wyndham Street North, Guelph, Ontario. We have a total of 1,189 units located in Guelph, Elora, Erin, Fergus, Arthur, Mount Forest, Palmerston and Harriston.
