CHILD CARE SERVICES VISION
Our vision is to provide accessible, high quality child care in Guelph and Wellington delivered by highly skilled and valued professionals.
While maintaining the integrity of the child care voice, we strive to support children and families through coordinated and effective service and resource planning.
MISSION
Our mission is to support children, families and the community by funding, planning and implementing high quality child care.
We work together with other service providers to educate, advocate and build capacity in the community to make the most effective use of the available resources.
GUIDING PRINCIPLES
We believe services for children should:
- Respect and include all children and families;
- Meet quality standards based on the best available evidence;
- Support service partnerships and collaborative planning;
- Use resources responsibly.
Our Municipal Child Care Programmes support the guiding principles of the provincial ELECT (Early Learning for Every Child Today) curriculum framework.
1. Relationships are important to early learning.
2. Children learn best through play based activity.
3. Educators plan the environment based on the children’s knowledge and interests.
4. Family involvement helps us to meet the needs of your child.
5. We respect diversity, equity and inclusion of all children.
6. Our staff have education in, and understanding of child development.
