What’s happening?
The Hillsburgh Transfer Station was permanently closed on Saturday, May 1, 2010.

Rural curbside collection of garbage and blue box recyclables begins for rural residents in the Town of Erin Thursday, May 6, 2010. Collection will occur every other week after that.
An information package was mailed to homes in the Town of Erin’s rural area in mid-April. If you have not received this package please contact SWS to ensure you are on the mailing list. The documents listed below can also be downloaded from the County website.
Two blue boxes were delivered to those residents in the Town of Erin rural areas receiving roadside collection on April 20 and 21, 2010.
Urban residents will continue to receive weekly curbside collection of garbage and blue box recyclables
After May 1, all residents will need to visit another County waste facility for the disposal of the occasional bulky items they used to take to the Hillsburgh Transfer Station that cannot be accepted at the curbside.
