Residents in the County have a number of options to properly dispose of leftover materials that are considered Household Hazardous Waste (HHW).
Please choose from the following services available to County residents:
- Household Hazardous Waste Event Days
- Selected HHW Depots for motor oil and filters, antifreeze, household and automobile batteries, aerosol cans, and propane cylinders
- Alkaline Battery Recycling Programme
- Medical Sharps Disposal
- Take-it-Back – Some businesses may have a return to point of purchase policy for HHW (such as pharmacies taking back expired prescriptions or syringes)
- City of Guelph Household Hazardous Waste Depot - As of January 12, 2010 Wellington County residents will pay a fee for this service
